days of our lives/she walks away (7"inch)
Firestation Tower Records FST029

Original Sin Belgium Magazine(June 2001)

Everyone can make CD’s these days but vinyl is still
special..I mean somewhere you wish that lovely black
colour will never go away and it probably never will
as long there are small labels around. Labels like
Firestation Tower Records who make it their goal to
bring you the finest indiepopmoments of this century!!!!
Kosmonaut are a band who are opting for the Ride-style
(especially on “Days of our lives”) while the B-side is
like The Verve seen through DIY-eyes… Lovely C86
guitars, a symphonic arrangment, a beatbox and a
voice you could hear on early Creation-releases
just like time stood still and musicwise I really
wished time should stand still more than once
Unglaublich!!!!

Firestation Tower Records Promo Review(June 2001)

First sign of life of Stephen Maughan, mastermind of
Bulldozer Crash and author of the legendary This
AlmightyPop! fanzine. This is what today's pop music
has to soundlike; mixing the main elements of late
80's and early 90's indie pop. Imagine Days of our
lives as if Stone Roses'''Elephant Stone'' and
Spearmint's ''Trip into Space'' and Ride's ''Chelsea
Girl'' were thrown together under the guidance of
The Byrds and The Beach Boys. The flip side''she
walks away'' could come from the feather of Spiritualized
or The Jesus and Mary Chain but augmented with
sophisticated violions only Burt Bacharach is able to
arrange. Definitely two gorgeous hymns for the
commencing summer !
