NEWS September 2002
the Matinée single
The desert song 7" is in limbo at the moment whilst
Jimmy from the label transports Matinée HQ from
Washington D.C. to Santa Barbara, California. If
every thing goes
to plan the single should be out in
early October. We are
sure it will be worth the wait!

the first gig
The debut gig on August Bank Holiday Monday at
Junktion 7 in Nottingham seemed to go OK.It was a
shaky start but having listened back to a recording of it,
they
agreed that it sounded much better than how it
sounded on
stage! They have now been joined full time
with a bass player
Jonathon Whitfield, another guitarist
his brother Karl
and a real drummer Richard Patterson

the next gig
The band seem to have caught the bug for playing live
and have their next gig lined up for the 31st of
October at The Cluny, Lime Street (under Byker Bridge,
next to Byker Farm), Newcastle upon Tyne. It is an event
organised by Oozells a music promotions company who
have a web site here
So if you want to hear some "idyllic
indiepop magic" and your doing nothing else on Halloween
get yourself there! A fantastic prize will be awarded for
the best Halloween costume!!!
tour in spain
The spanish distributors of Firestation Tower records are
organising 2 FST package tours with 6 bands from the
label. Kosmonaut will hopefully be taking part in the
second leg of the tour in early 2003. We will pass on more
information when we have it.
the kosmonaut diary page
A few people have complained about the news page
taking forever
to be updated (We thought once a month
was pretty frequent) so
for those impatient buggers
amongst you we have installed a diary
which will hopefully
be updated as soon as anything happens, so
there will
be no more waiting a month or so to find out all the
latest
gossip. Here it is ..the diary page
